COVID-19 RELIEF WORK

Our Partners

Since 2020, Eat. Learn. Play. has provided over 25 million meals to Oakland families and others in need. We have also delivered 15-pound boxes of fresh produce to 24,000 families throughout Oakland public schools and parks & recreation youth campsites. Over 1,000 individuals and organizations contributed to this effort, made possible through partnerships with World Central Kitchen, Alameda County Community Food Bank, and Oakland Unified School District.

WORLD CENTRAL KITCHEN

World Central Kitchen is a global non-profit founded by celebrity Chef José Andrés to provide meals to communities during disasters. Eat. Learn. Play. worked alongside World Central Kitchen in Oakland to engage 130 local restaurants in the preparation and distribution of up to 6,500 meals each day to Oakland's most vulnerable residents, including low-income children and families, the homeless, immigrants, youth in the foster system, the elderly, and health care and other essential workers on the frontlines of the COVID-19 crisis.

ALAMEDA COUNTY COMMUNITY FOOD BANK

Food banks around the country are a critical lifeline for communities during the pandemic. So in Oakland and throughout Alameda County, we're providing funding and logistical support to the Alameda County Community Food Bank to deliver 250,000 meals every week to kids and families throughout this crisis.

OAKLAND UNIFIED SCHOOL DISTRICT

Oakland Unified School District ensures students who depend on school for their daily meals continue to receive them during school closures. To date, Oakland Unified School District has delivered over 7,000,000 student meals in partnership with Eat. Learn. Play. and the Alameda County Community Food Bank, an additional 25,000 bags of groceries to their families. The Foundation continues to convene public and private partnerships to support OUSD in delivering three daily meals and grocery bags to students and families in Oakland.

SUPPORT OUR WORK

Donate now to help ensure all Oakland and Alameda County residents have food during this crisis. 100% of donations go to community programs and grants as Stephen and Ayesha Curry provide support for the Foundation's operating expenses.
